International applicants are those who require an F-1 or J-1 visa to study in the United States. Applicants seeking a master’s degree must have obtained a degree equivalent to a U.S. bachelor’s degree and meet the English proficiency requirement for the program. International applicants should contact the CSUSB Center for International Studies and Programs for more information at (909) 537-5288 or email@example.com. A list of required documents is posted on their website.
To expedite consideration to our graduate program, please upload all unofficial transcripts from institutions you have attended. The following unofficial transcripts will be required to determine your eligibility:
- Transcript with your earned degree(s) posted
- Transcripts where coursework was completed that counted toward your earned degree(s)
- Transcripts with any post-baccalaureate level coursework taken
- Transcript from the last institution that you attended
Upload your unofficial transcripts to the DOCUMENTS section in Cal State Apply (photographs of transcripts are not acceptable). If you are unable to upload your transcripts for any reason, we encourage you to finalize your application and email your unofficial transcripts to firstname.lastname@example.org as soon as possible. However, please note that uploading your unofficial transcripts with your application will help avoid missing program and early registration deadlines.

If the program you are applying to requests that letters of recommendation be submitted through Cal State Apply, this will be done in the Program Materials section. Use the Evaluations tab to manage the submission of letters of recommendation. Letter writer email addresses should be from professional or academic organizations (ex. @csusb.edu, @CA.gov or @dell.com), not personal email addresses.
Note that some programs request that letters of recommendation be mailed directly to them as hard copies or E-mailed directly to them. Consult the webpage of the department you are applying to or contact the program coordinator if you have questions about how to submit letters of recommendation.
