Student Research and Travel

This program encourages and supports both undergraduate and graduate student research and creative activities by providing funding to support student research. Traditionally, this program has also funded travel related to academic growth and development, such as attending and presenting at conferences. However, due to the impacts of coronavirus (COVID-19), the CSU Chancellor's Office has suspended all non-essential domestic and international student travel until further notice.

As a result, the Office of Student Research (OSR) will not be reviewing or awarding ASI Student Research and Travel (SRT) Grants for conference or research-related travel until further notice from campus administration.

Students may use the funding to conduct research for independent study, an academic course, honor’s project, or master’s thesis or project. Funds are made available through Associated Students Incorporated and Instructionally Related Programs.
