Have a question about registration, your schedule, or where to get help?
Start here! Below are some of the most common questions from new Coyotes—click through to find the info you need.

How do I register for classes?

To register, you'll first need to complete Orientation—this step is required for all newly admitted undergraduates. First-Year students are placed into their first-semester courses through a process called Pack Enrollment (more on that below!). You'll get your schedule before Orientation and can make changes during your session. Transfer students will meet with an academic advisor to plan and register for classes. What is a hold, and how do I clear it?

A hold is something that may prevent you from registering for classes. You can view your holds in your myCoyote portal under the "My Holds" section. It will show what type of hold you have, which office placed it, and how to clear it.
Some common holds include:

A01: Missing admission documents

A02: Admission canceled

F01: Financial aid verification in progress

Immunization holds: Upload your records through the Patient Portal in your myCoyote account or contact the Student Health Center at (909) 537-5241.

Is there a live chat I can use?

Yes! While the old live chat feature (AIR Chat) is no longer available, you can now use Ask Cody! — our 24/7 virtual assistant. Cody is available on many SUSB webpages (just look for the chat icon in the bottom right) and in your myCoyote portal for personalized help. He can answer questions about admissions, financial aid, orientation, class registration, parking, and much more.
