Health Professions Conference for high schoolers held at CSUSB

About 600 Inland area high school students came to CSUSB to learn about health careers at the 2019 Health Professions Conference. Hosted by the Inland Health Professions Coalition, the conference offered information about the health field through keynote speakers and interactive workshops.

Middle schoolers demonstrate their projects at annual Makers Fair

About 40 middle school boys from local schools demonstrated their various projects involving robotics and 3-D printers at the third annual Makers Fair as part of the Verizon Learning Program at Cal State San Bernardino. The fair was held at the College of Education atrium on Saturday, March 16.

CSUSB administrators and alumni attended the CSU Alumni Reception in Washington, D.C., which took place the night before the annual CSU Hill Day, when representatives from the CSU, including CSUSB President Morales, meet with federal lawmakers to advance the university’s priority legislation.

“Freedom Writers: Stories from the Heart” screened at CSUSB

More than 140 students, faculty, staff and community members filled a lecture hall at CSUSB to watch an updated version of “Freedom Writers: Stories of Heart,” a documentary that followed teacher Erin Gruwell and how she changed her students who later became known as the ‘Freedom Writers.’
