The Office of Graduate Studies is hiring for the following positions:

  • Front Operations Assistant - Job Code: 3826296
    • The Front Operations Assistant will assist in front-office operations and provide information to both prospective and current graduate students pertaining to admissions, resources, university policies and regulations, and upcoming events. The student should be prepared to learn about various CSUSB departments accordingly, as to properly direct students whose inquiries lie outside of the Office of Graduate Studies purview. This position is aimed to assist office operations as well as further hone the student’s arsenal of professional development.
  • Graphic Designer - Job Code: 3826361
    • The CSUSB Office of Graduate Studies seeks assistance with graphic design for a variety of marketing materials, the Graduate Studies Newsletter, banners and reports. Projects include updating the Graduate Studies marketing brochure, updating program fact sheets, and creating flyers and other materials for promoting events and workshops as needed.
  • Graduate Admissions Assistant - Job Code: 3825094
    • ​​​​​​​The Graduate Admission Assistant will assist with processing transcripts, scanning documents, revising and creating forms, filing, and various other admission related tasks. This position will also require the student to assist the Office of Graduate Studies by covering the front desk, helping graduate students with inquiries, and assisting with events and other projects as is needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

Front Operations Assistant & Graduate Admissions Assistant
Must have excellent and effective verbal communication skills. Able to work well independently and with others. Able to turn projects around quickly and meet deadlines. Attention to detail and accuracy is critical. Must be able to work with confidential materials responsibly. The student assistant should also possess knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Access. PeopleSoft knowledge is desirable, but the right candidate could be trained.

Graphic Designer

•Some design experience, either as a student in graphic design courses, or work

•Strong communication skills
•Attention to detail and accuracy
•Organized, able to juggle multiple projects
