At Cal State San Bernardino, your student’s safety is our top priority. The University Police Department (UPD) is dedicated not only to protecting our campus, but also to building trust and relationships through positive community engagement. From crime prevention resources to personal safety services, CSUSB offers multiple layers of support so students and families can feel confident and secure.

Safety Escort Service

Students, faculty, staff, and guests can request a police escort to walk them across campus for added peace of mind. This free service is available daily (7 a.m.–2 a.m., except holidays) by calling (909) 537-7777 or (909) 537-5165.

Emergency Alerts

In the event of an emergency, CSUSB communicates quickly through CSUSB RAVE Notification System, which can send messages by text, email, and voice call. Current CSUSB students should keep their contact information up to date in their myCoyote student account, and parents and guardians can also sign up to receive alerts.
