Power to the San Bernardino campus has been restored as of 9:55 a.m. Normal campus operations will resume Friday, July 26th. Essential staff with questions on whether to report should contact their appropriate administrator. Facilities Management will be working to check all building systems including HVAC, elevators and fire alarms. If power has not been restored in your work area when you return, please report that to Facilities Planning and Management at (909) 537-5175. The Palm Desert Campus remains open and operational.

CSUSB Student Recreation and Wellness Center has partnered with National Strength and Conditioning Association to provide those who qualify with a discount to take the Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist Exam.

Standard Non-member NSCA-CSCS Exam = $475

Discounted CSUSB NSCA-CSCS Exam = $265

CSCS Exam Prerequisites:

  • Have a Bachelor’s degree or higher degree or currently be enrolled as a college senior at an accredited institution
  • Have a current CPR/AED certification

  • Please do not send in your supporting documentation until AFTER you have registered for an exam.
  • Certification will not be granted until ALL of the eligibility requirements have been met. Candidates have one (1) year from their exam date to submit documentation demonstrating completion of all eligibility criteria.
  • Exam results become invalid if acceptable eligibility documentation is not received within one (1) year of exam date.

  2. Create NSCA Customer Account:  Create an Account
    • If you already have an account with NSCA, a new account is NOT necessary.
    • After an account is created, you will need to click on your name in the top right corner. A drop-down menu will appear and your NSCA Customer ID will be listed.
    • You will need this account number for ALL forms related to exam registration.
  3. Go to NSCA-CSCS Exam Registration Form
  4. Pay for NSCA-CSCS Exam through Rec Shop Portal:
    • Sign In using MyCoyote Credentials, select Register and Check Out.
