Recreation & Wellness Committee

The CSUSB Recreation & Wellness Committee is a sub-committee of the Santos Manuel Student Union Board of Directors, and serves as an advisory group to the CSUSB Recreation & Wellness Department.  The Committee advises on policy, budgets, proposals, and operations of the activities and programs of the Recreation & Wellness Department.

The committee shall consist of the following voting members:

  • Student Representative - Chair of the Committee
  • SMSU Board of Directors Student Representative
  • Student Representative 
  • Student Representative
  • Student Representative
  • Student Representative
  • Faculty Representative
  • Staff Representative
  • Recreation & Wellness Director (Ex Officio member)

The Chair of the Board of Directors, with appropriate consultation, will select all representatives nominated by the Director of the Recreation and Wellness Department.  The Board of Directors shall approve or accept all appointments to the committee.  All appointments will be either a 1- or 2-year term, as selected by the applicant and at the discretion of the Chair of the Board of Directors.

The CSUSB Recreation & Wellness Committee is now accepting applications:
Serving on the committee is not only a great résumé highlight, but also a leadership development opportunity where insight on operations of the Recreation & Wellness department will be gained. In addition to completing this application by the deadline, the requirements for serving on the committee include:

  • A minimum 2.5 G.P.A. - both semester and cumulative – is required to serve on the committee.
  • Being a currently enrolled student when you apply and for the duration of the time serving on the committee.
  • Being able to attend committee meetings on the second Thursday of every month from 12:00pm-1:00pm.
  • Abide by the CSUSB Student Conduct Code and remain in good standing with regards to the CSUSB Student Conduct Code.

  • Be in good standing with the University in regards to academics, financial, and student conduct.

 
All appointments will be either a 1- or 2-year term, as selected by the applicant and at the discretion of the Chair of the SMSU Board of Directors.
