National Cybersecurity Studies - Fees and Refund Policy

Course Cycles and Fees

The Post-Graduate Certificate (PGC) Program in National Cybersecurity Studies (NCS) is a 12-unit graduate certificate completed over two semesters (9 months). To support the diverse needs of today's students, the program is offered in both HyFlex (Hybrid-Flexible) and Fully Online modalities.

Students enrolled in the HyFlex modality have access to campus facilities, services, and in-person learning opportunities and are therefore required to pay applicable campus-based fees. Students enrolled in the Fully Online modality complete their coursework asynchronously online and are not required to pay campus-based fees.

Regardless of the modality selected, students complete the same curriculum, learn from the same expert faculty, and achieve the same learning outcomes, ensuring a high-quality graduate-level educational experience.

Drop and Fee Refund Policies

If you need to drop a course, contact your Program Advisor by email. The date on your email will be the date of your request. The Program Advisor will process a course change on your behalf. Faculty cannot drop you from courses.

A course dropped on or before the census date will not remain on your academic record. A course dropped after census requires instructor and Department Chair approval and will be recorded on your record with the appropriate grade. See the CSUSB Office of the Registrar webpage for grade details. Contact us at any time if you have questions.

Your Post-Graduate Certificate in National Cybersecurity Studies program follows the CEGE tuition refund policy, which differs from the campus policy.

  • 100% refund, less $25 administrative fee, if course drop is requested before state date
  • 65% refund, less $25 administrative fee, if course drop is requested on the first day of class through census date
  • No refund after the census date

Payments are due seven days before the first day of class. Late payments are subject to a $25 late fee.
