  • Public schools are free for all children. Classes are available from kindergarten through 12th grade.
  • To enter kindergarten, the child must be 5 years old before September 1.
  • Children who do not speak English as a first language will receive support in learning English.
  • Public schools are organized by district. A district manages a group of schools in a particular area. If you live in a certain district, your children must attend school in that district.
