Power to the San Bernardino campus has been restored as of 9:55 a.m. Normal campus operations will resume Friday, July 26th. Essential staff with questions on whether to report should contact their appropriate administrator. Facilities Management will be working to check all building systems including HVAC, elevators and fire alarms. If power has not been restored in your work area when you return, please report that to Facilities Planning and Management at (909) 537-5175. The Palm Desert Campus remains open and operational.

About the Program

Study Abroad in the USA (SUSA) Program allows students to enroll in university degree-credit courses at the undergraduate level on a space-available basis and study alongside American students. Students can enroll in university-credit courses with 12 units per semester for undergraduate courses and 6 units for graduate courses up to one academic year, including fall, spring and summer semester. A maximum of 24 undergraduate / 9 graduate units can be applied toward a bachelor’s degree at California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB) and may be transferred to your home institution toward degree requirements.

Curriculum 

Undergraduate and Graduate academic courses are available as space allows. Students can enroll in university-credit courses with 12 units undergraduate courses and 6 units for graduate courses per semester. 2000 courses are available to take from various areas of study, including 75 undergraduate and graduate programs.

CSUSB University Catalog: The catalog provides a short description and the prerequisites (eligibility requirements) for all courses offered by each university department.

CSUSB Class Schedule: Use the Class Search website to browse the schedule of classes that are being offered in a particular semester. Not all classes listed in the University Catalog are offered every semester.

Who should apply? 

  • Students who want to examine a particular field of study before seeking admission to a degree program at the university
  • Students visiting from overseas who want to take university courses, but do not want to obtain a degree from CSUSB
  • Students who want to improve their GPA to re-enter an academic program at CSUSB or another university
  • Students who want to take courses not offered at their current university

Campus Life

Students at CSUSB have the opportunity to engage in campus life and interact with a variety of other students from diverse backgrounds and cultures by participating in activities, groups and events. Students fully access to student recreation center, Santos Manuel Student Union, library, and Student Health Center etc.
