Program Overview

The Post-Graduate Certificate (PGC) in National Cybersecurity Studies at Cal State San Bernardino equips students with advanced skills to understand and address modern cyber threats. The program bridges cybersecurity and national security, preparing students for roles in government, defense, and private sectors.

Through focused coursework in international relations, national security, and critical analysis, students develop the ability to assess complex cybersecurity challenges and craft effective responses. Graduates are well-prepared to apply these skills in professional settings or pursue advanced study in the field.

This program is ideal for students who wish to:

The PGC can also serve as a pathway to CSUSB’s M.S. in National Cybersecurity Studies. Students who complete the certificate may apply their 12 earned credits toward the master’s program (admission to the M.S. program requires a separate application and approval).

MSNCSS Program Admission Requirements

To meet the needs of today's diverse learners, the program is offered in both HyFlex (Hybrid-Flexible) and Fully Online modalities. Students enrolled in the HyFlex option benefit from the flexibility of combining in-person and online learning while maintaining access to campus resources, faculty engagement, and face-to-face collaboration with peers. This modality is ideal for students who value the traditional university experience and the opportunity to build professional connections through on-campus participation.

For students seeking maximum flexibility, the Fully Online option allows coursework to be completed asynchronously, providing the freedom to access lectures, assignments, and course materials from anywhere while balancing professional and personal commitments.
