Financing Your Graduate Education

How much does it cost?

The MS in Business Data Analytics (MSBDA) program is priced at $1,200 per unit. With 10 courses at 3 units each, the total program cost is $36,000.

Textbooks are not included in the tuition and are estimated to cost $100–$250 per course.

Many of the software tools and applications used throughout the program are provided at no additional cost, either through course access or University resources. Instructors will share specific access details during the course.

Tuition & Fees for 2026-27 Academic Year

The following suggested budget indicates F-1 Visa applicants’ expenses and cost for 18 months (three terms of attendance as a full-time student). It’s important to note that these amounts will vary based on your economic situation and resources.

Please note: The only fixed costs are tuition, campus fees, and health insurance (which applies only to F-1 visa students). All other expenses may vary depending on your personal financial situation and lifestyle.

If your spouse or children will accompany you to the United States, you must provide proof of additional funding of $1,800 for a spouse and $1,200 per child per academic year (2 semesters).

Financial Aid

Financial aid is available for U.S. residents. If you are interested, the first step in applying for financial aid (including loans) is to submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Students may apply online at FAFSA website.

Students seeking financial aid are encouraged to visit the CSUSB Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships' website. All applicants must maintain satisfactory progress.

Students taking prerequisite courses under the direction of a graduate program in preparation for entrance are eligible for one year of loans.

Private Student Loans / Alternative Loans

The College of Extended and Global Education (CEGE) certificate programs and courses are eligible for private loans. The choice of a lender and guarantor is a decision and responsibility only you may make as the borrower. CEGE does not endorse or have an affiliation with any lender. Please contact your financial institution for further information about their private student loan program.

CEGE Private Student Loan Guidelines

Arrangements for any student private loan must be made before registration for CEGE courses or certificates. Full payment of tuition for each course is due at the time of registration. Loan certification is not a guarantee, and terms and conditions must be accepted by CEGE.

  • Steps: · Apply for a private loan with a lender of your choice, or apply here
  • Notify CEGE of approved private loans
    • Please call the CEGE office at (909) 537-5976
    • CEGE will certify your loan with the lender
    • Please note that CEGE is only able to certify the loan relating to the total estimated cost of the tuition
  • The lender will disburse the funds to the school and the funds are posted to your account.
    • Any overpayment from the loan will be disbursed to you by check
    • Any unpaid balance after the loan funds are disbursed will be due immediately, to be paid by the student

Important Refund Policies

While the MSBDA program is cohort based and students are expected to take all the courses with their cohort, sometimes students encounter uncontrollable circumstances. For course drops, please be cognizant of our refund and drop policies.

Course Change and Refund Policy

100% refund, less administrative fee, if the course is dropped before the start date.

65% refund, less administrative fee, if the course is dropped on or before the census date.

No refund after the census date.

Class change fee

$25 This fee is applied to the student account for all course drops and changes once registered.
