Children’s Center

Program Mission

The CSUSB Early Childhood Education Programs supports students and families within the university and community at large by providing high quality child care and hands on learning experiences through developmentally appropriate practices, building relationships, and recognizing individual strengths and values.

During the summer, we also provide a school age program for children ages 6-12. The program typically runs from June through the beginning of August.

NAEYC Accreditation

The Children’s Center has been accredited through the National Association for the Education for Young Children (NAEYC) since May 2009. NAEYC is the nation’s largest organization of early childhood educators.  Accreditation involves a comprehensive process of internal self-study and improvement.

A high quality early childhood program provides a safe and nurturing environment while promoting the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development of young children.  For more information about NAEYC accreditation, please visit the NAEYC accreditation website.
