Finding Help in an Emergency

International students may sometimes need immediate help with a medical emergency, personal safety concern, mental health crisis, or other urgent situation.

Use the resources on this page to find emergency and crisis support at CSUSB and in the San Bernardino area. If you need legal advice or representation, this page also explains the limits of the assistance ISSS can provide.

If You Need Help Right Now

For an immediate or life-threatening emergency, call 911.

This includes situations involving a serious medical emergency, fire, crime in progress, or an immediate threat to your safety or the safety of someone else.

For a non-emergency situation on the CSUSB campus, contact University Police at (909) 537-7777.

Do not contact ISSS instead of emergency services when immediate assistance is needed.

Emergency Help on Campus

CSUSB University Police provides emergency and public safety services on campus.

For a life-threatening medical emergency, call 911.

For non-emergency health concerns, the CSUSB Student Health Center provides health services and information for students. If the Student Health Center is closed, its Emergencies & After Hours resource provides information about after-hours care, nearby emergency departments, and other medical resources.

Students can also call the Student Health Center's after-hours nurse advice line at (855) 262-5562 for non-emergency medical questions.
