Iberoamerican Cinema Club

The purpose of Club de Cine Iberoamericano is to show films that portray the different aspects of Spain and Latin America’s culture and language. In order to promote the knowledge of these cultures, we invite professionals who have analyzed some of the different films shown throughout the year.

Most of the movies have been nominated to awards such as the Oscar’s and the Goya’s Awards, and they have been directed by renowned directors such as Pedro Almodóvar, Guillermo del Toro, and Alejandro Amenábar, among many others.
By joining Club de Cine and by attending our events students will:

Practice the Spanish language and further their knowledge on the Hispanic culture.

Mingle with existing friends and meet new ones.

The club is open to everyone. Most films are in Spanish with English subtitles.

If you are interested in joining or have questions or comments please contact: Prof. María García- Puente at mpuente@csusb.edu or iberoamericancinemaclub@gmail.com.
