DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE (DoD) Tuition Assistance
VA Work-study

The VA work-study allowance is available to persons training on a full-time or ¾ time basis under the following programs:  Chapter 30, Chapter 33, Chapter 1606, Chapter 35,  and Chapter 31.

REQUEST FOR ENROLLMENT CERTIFICATION

To certify courses at CSUSB, use the Veterans Benefits Module (VBM) within your My Coyote student portal. Instructions for completing the request are linked on this page. 

The certification process is required in order for you to receive educational benefits from the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). These benefits include, but are not limited to:

  • Montgomery GI Bill® - Active Duty (Chapter 30)
  • Post - 9/11 GI Bill® (Chapter 33)
  • Post - 9/11 GI Bill® (Chapter 33) Edith Nourse Rogers Scholarship
  • Post - 9/11 GI Bill® (Chapter 33) Marine Gunnery Sergeant John
  • Montgomery GI Bill® - Select Reserves (Chapter 1606)
  • Veterans Educational Assistance Program (Chapter 32)
  • Survivor & Dependents Assistance (Chapter 35)
  • Vocational Readiness Program (Chapter 31)

Note: If you are only using the College Fee Waiver for Veteran Dependents (Cal Vet Fee Waiver) or Department of Defense Tuition Assistance, you are NOT required to submit certification requests using this system. If you are using either of these benefits in addition to one of the Chapter/VA benefits listed above, please submit the request using the steps below.
