Become an Allied Health Peer Mentor

CALLING ALL MENTORS

Are you an allied health graduate student interested in guiding and inspiring the next generation of health professionals? Join the Peer Mentor program, launching Fall 2025, to make a difference!

 

Responsibilities as a Peer Mentor

  • Mentor to 6-7 peer mentees from CSUSB allied health graduate programs
  • Develop mentorship with mentees over the course of their academic program and help them set and achieve goals
  • Share insights and experiences with peer mentees to guide them through their program and entry into their professional career
  • Be knowledgeable of campus resources and supports and connect peer mentees to them when appropriate
  • Perform regular check-ins with peer mentees
  • Report to peer mentoring program coordinators

Requirements

  • Must be a returning student enrolled in one of the following allied health graduate programs
    • Nutritional Science, Public Health, Physician Assistant
  • Maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Availability to attend peer mentor training and inservice workshops
  • Attendance of peer mentoring events in allied health summer bridge and hybrid seminars
