The Post-Graduate Certificate (PGC) Program in Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a cohort-based program designed to provide students with advanced knowledge and practical skills in one of today's most rapidly evolving and in-demand fields. The program consists of four 3-semester-unit courses completed over two semesters (9 months). Students take two courses during the Fall semester and two courses during the Spring semester, progressing through the curriculum with a cohort of peers while building expertise in artificial intelligence, machine learning, deep learning, and emerging AI technologies.
Through a focused, graduate-level curriculum, students explore the foundations and applications of artificial intelligence, including neural networks, applied machine learning, deep learning, and large language model (LLM) applications. The program emphasizes both theoretical understanding and practical application, preparing students to leverage AI technologies to solve complex problems, drive innovation, and support data-driven decision-making across a wide range of industries.
As organizations increasingly adopt AI-powered solutions, professionals with specialized AI expertise are in high demand. The program is designed to help students develop the technical knowledge and industry-relevant skills needed to pursue career advancement opportunities in fields such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science, intelligent automation, robotics, and emerging technologies.
To accommodate diverse learning needs, the program is offered in both HyFlex and Fully Online modalities. Regardless of the format selected, students complete the same rigorous curriculum, learn from the same expert faculty, and achieve the same learning outcomes. This flexible approach allows students to choose the learning experience that best fits their schedule and lifestyle while receiving a high-quality graduate-level education.
