Coyote First Step
The Student Transition Enrichment Program (STEP), or Coyote First STEP, allows new CSUSB first-time freshmen to get an early start and the first course in the two-term math stretch courses during the summer. It is a free program for students attending CSUSB in the fall.
Early Start is a program that serves CSU admitted first-time freshmen requiring skills development in written communication and/or mathematics/quantitative reasoning. It is recommended for students needing skills development as determined by the Early Assessment Program, College Board SAT, ACT Test, high school coursework, and grades. Students may complete the program at CSUSB or any other CSU.
