Employees Participate in Forklift Training at CSUSB

This past month, Environmental Health & Safety partnered with training vendor, Occupational Safety Training Systems (OSTS), to offer employees in-person forklift training. Over 50 employees in Facilities and Support Services were trained on the proper use of forklifts by qualified OSTS instructors.

Per Cal/OSHA Title 8 California Code of Regulations, Article 25, training is required for all employees who operate forklifts to complete upon hire and then every three (3) years thereafter.

Supervisors, if you oversee employees whose job involves operation of a lift of any kind, they are required to complete forklift training per Cal/OSHA regulations. Contact the Office of Environmental Health & Safety to learn more about this training requirement.
