Making College Happen

Supporting Your Students’ Journey

As counselors, you play a vital role in helping students navigate their path to college, and at Cal State San Bernardino, we want to be a partner in that journey. From campus tours—both in-person and virtual—to group visit opportunities, we make it easy for your students to picture themselves at CSUSB. You’ll also find resources to support conversations about affordability, financial aid, and family involvement. Together, we can give students the confidence to take their next step toward a meaningful future.

Affordability and Financial Aid

At Cal State San Bernardino, we believe cost should never be a barrier to opportunity. Our goal is to make a high-quality education accessible to every student you guide.

  • Low Tuition: CSUSB tuition and fees are among the lowest in the nation.
  • Generous Aid: Nearly 70% of last year’s freshmen paid less than $1,000 in tuition and fees through Pell Grants, Cal Grants, scholarships, and other aid.
  • FAFSA & CADAA: Both applications open October 1. Encourage your students to apply early to maximize eligibility.
  • Financial Aid Support: From workshops to one-on-one guidance, our Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships helps students and families understand the process and meet every deadline.

"CSUSB is special because they try to accommodate the students' needs. Specifically, the cave is a space created to provide students with a location to do work in and it is open 24/7, so no matter what a student's schedule is, they have somewhere to safely do work. This is only one example of how CSUSB creates a great atmosphere."

  • Group Visits: Planning to bring 10 or more students? Schedule a group tour and give them the chance to experience CSUSB together.
  • Virtual Tour: A flexible option for students and families who can’t make it in person.
