Direct Admission Program

Cal State San Bernardino’s Direct Admission Program provides guaranteed admission—no traditional application required—for eligible high school seniors in participating school districts. It’s a simplified pathway to college for students who meet the criteria and select CSUSB as their first-choice campus.

Eligibility Requirements

Students must:

  • Be a high school senior graduating by summer 2026
  • Complete A–G coursework with a 2.5 GPA or higher by the end of junior year
  • Attend a participating public high school in Riverside or San Bernardino Counties
  • Plan to apply to CSUSB as their first-choice campus

Why It Matters

  • Removes barriers with guaranteed admission
  • Expands access to higher education
  • Strengthens the K–12 to CSU pipeline

How Counselors Can Help
Encourage eligible students to complete these steps:

  1. Link their account on CaliforniaColleges.edu
  2. Submit the CSU application through Cal State Apply
  3. Choose CSUSB as their first-choice campus
  4. Provide any required documents to finalize the process

That’s it—no extra forms or complicated steps. Direct Admission ensures students have a clear, supported path to CSUSB.
