Your Hub for Fitness and Well-Being

Welcome to the CSUSB Student Recreation & Wellness Center (SWRC) — your go-to space for staying active, healthy and connected. Here you’ll find an aquatics facility, a fully equipped fitness floor, two studios, an indoor gymnasium, climbing and bouldering walls, tennis and basketball courts, grass fields and sand volleyball courts. You can also join group exercise classes, compete in intramural leagues or sports clubs, train with a personal coach, or head out on an outdoor adventure trip.

Day Trips Through CSUSB Adventure

The stunning environment surrounding CSUSB gives students a chance to relax and reset in nature. Trips are available for all fitness levels and interests—backpacking, kayaking, hiking, camping, snorkeling, rafting, snowboarding, surfing, stargazing, and cultural adventures, as well as service trips to care for trails and parks.

How can I pay for my membership?

As long as you're enrolled in classes, membership for the Recreation and Wellness Center is included in your tuition. If you're not enrolled, you can pay for a membership with Visa, Mastercard, money orders, checks or cash. No bills over $20, please. 

What are the current prices? 

The current prices for faculty, staff and Alumni Association members are listed on the Recreation & Wellness membership page.

Santos Manuel Student Union

The Student Recreation & Wellness Center is part of the Santos Manuel Student Union (SMSU), the hub for student life and connection at CSUSB. While the Rec Center is located on the east end of campus, it falls under the SMSU umbrella along with many other spaces and services that enhance the student experience. These include cultural and identity-based resource centers for LatinX, Queer & Transgender, Pan-African, First People and Women’s communities, as well as The Retreat, Adventure Center, Coyote Lanes, Esports Arena, Graduate Student Success Center and Financial Literacy Center.
