High School Dual Enrollment
The High School University Program (HSUP) gives qualified high school students the chance to take real CSUSB courses while still in high school. It’s a powerful way for motivated students to earn college credit, explore university life, and get a head start on their academic journey—without stepping away from their high school commitments.
Program Highlights
- Open to juniors and seniors (sophomores and freshmen may be considered if space is available).
- Students must have a 2.5 GPA or higher in college preparatory coursework beginning in the 10th grade.
- Reduced registration fee of $10.50 per term (additional course or parking fees may apply).
- Courses count for college credit and appear on an official CSUSB transcript.

- Spring: Priority Deadline – Aug. 31 | Final Deadline – Sept. 15
- Fall: Priority Deadline – Dec. 1 | Final Deadline – Jan. 31
Key Information for Counselors
- Participation in HSUP does not guarantee admission to CSUSB or any CSU campus; students must still meet CSU admission requirements after high school.
- Students are expected to follow the CSUSB academic calendar, which may differ from their high school’s schedule.
- Grades and transcripts are issued through CSUSB and can be accessed via the student’s myCoyote portal or the Office of the Registrar.
