Help Your Students Transfer to CSUSB
The Transfer Success Pathway (TSP) is a simple way for eligible community college students to lock in guaranteed admission to Cal State San Bernardino.
As a counselor, you’re key in helping students start strong and stay on track, and the Transfer Success Pathway gives you a clear, simple tool to guide them forward.
This program is for students who took a different path after high school. It’s designed for those who:
- Weren’t CSU-eligible at graduation – They didn’t meet the admission requirements right out of high school.
- Chose not to enroll – They were eligible for CSU admission but opted out for personal, financial, or other reasons.
- Were redirected and didn’t enroll – They applied to a CSU campus, got redirected to another, and decided not to attend.
It gives them a clear, supported path to CSUSB.
How You Can Help Students Get Started
The process is simple:
- Check eligibility – Students must be first-time freshmen who graduated high school in 2023 or later and haven’t enrolled at a CSU yet.
- Select CSUSB – Help them choose Cal State San Bernardino as their preferred CSU campus
- Complete transfer requirements – Students should earn an Associate Degree for Transfer (ADT) or complete an approved transfer pathway within three years at a California community college.
The Transfer Success Pathway agreement must be submitted between Aug. 1-Oct. 31. Late submissions will not be accepted.
With your support, students can take advantage of this opportunity and plan ahead with confidence. For more information, visit the Transfer Success Pathway webpage.
