Helping Students Transfer to CSUSB
The Transfer Success Pathway (TSP) offers eligible community college students a guaranteed admission route to Cal State San Bernardino. It’s designed to give students who didn’t enroll at a California State University (CSU) after high school a clear, supported path forward.
Who Qualifies
This program is for students who graduated high school in 2023 or later and did not enroll at a CSU. It’s designed for those who:
- Weren’t CSU-eligible at graduation (didn’t meet requirements right out of high school).
- Chose not to enroll (were eligible but opted out for personal, financial, or other reasons).
- Were redirected and didn’t enroll (applied to a CSU, were redirected, and decided not to attend).
How Counselors Can Guide Students
Your role is key in helping students take advantage of this opportunity:
- Confirm Eligibility: Students must be first-time freshmen, high school graduates from 2023 or later, and not enrolled at a CSU.
- Select CSUSB: Encourage students to choose Cal State San Bernardino as their preferred CSU campus.
- Complete Transfer Requirements: Students must earn an Associate Degree for Transfer (ADT) or follow an approved transfer pathway within three years at a California community college.
- Submit Agreement: The Transfer Success Pathway agreement must be submitted between Aug. 1 – Oct. 31 (late submissions not accepted).
With your guidance, students can lock in their admission to CSUSB, plan ahead with confidence, and stay motivated knowing their path is secure.
