The CSU Basic Needs Initiative supports students' well-being and basic needs by providing access to:
- Immediate food assistance
- Financial assistance
- Short term emergency housing
- Connecting students with additional resources and support on campus and in your community
The Obershaw DEN and The PDC DEN will remain open with modified hours and service for students. To minimize risk of exposure and follow best practices for food pantries, both locations will provide pick up service only. Students seeking food assistance will receive a prepared food bag during posted office hours. By moving to this type of pickup service we hope to minimize any lines and incorporate social distancing recommendations. Our intent is to continue providing the best service possible during these challenging times.

To help our students in need, CSUSB has implemented a number of Coyote Basic Needs resources. The Obershaw DEN, the PDC DEN, emergency housing, and the emergency loan program provide assistance to students when it is needed most.
