The library will be closed beginning Wednesday, March 18th; please see the campus’s March 17 announcement (PDF).
If you are enrolled at the Palm Desert Campus, visit the Helene A. Hixon Information Resource Center at PDC, managed by librarian Risa Lumley.
PDC students may access all the online resources of the John M. Pfau Library from the computers at PDC or from their home computers.
Book Delivery and Interlibrary Loan:
Students needing specific articles or books not available in digital form may request them online through the Pfau Library's Interlibrary Loan service. A courier will deliver the requested books to the PDC, while journal articles will be scanned and delivered online.
Research Support and Instruction:
The PDC Librarian and Supplemental Instruction Leaders are available to help students with their research through reference assistance and information literacy instruction, as well as assistance in finding appropriate information and using it ethically.
Visiting the Pfau Library:
PDC students visiting the Pfau Library in person must have their Coyote OneCard in order to check out books. Bring your card with you, or plan to get it at the OneCard office, PL-005, while you are on the San Bernardino campus; getting a card takes only 5-10 minutes. Login to the Pfau Library's computer terminals with your MyCoyote login. The Pfau Library uses the same print system as the PDC Resource Center.
