If you’re a registered nurse (RN) in California and ready to take the next step in your career, CSUSB’s RN to BSN program is designed for you. This bridge program is also open to students in collaborative programs at affiliated community colleges, making it a flexible option for advancing your education.

The hybrid format combines online learning with traditional classroom instruction, so you can balance school with your professional and personal commitments. You’ll also complete two clinical rotations at pre-arranged community or hospital sites, giving you valuable hands-on experience.

Nursing students

Registered nurses are in high demand, with job growth projected to be faster than average, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Earning your BSN can open doors to more opportunities, whether you want to specialize in areas like emergency care, labor and delivery, oncology, neonatal intensive care, pediatrics, public health, cardiac or critical care, or psychiatry.

With a BSN, you’ll also be well-prepared to continue your education and pursue advanced roles such as nurse practitioner, nurse anesthetist, nurse midwife, researcher, administrator, or educator.
