Opportunities for Students

Every student in the B.S. in public health program completes a capstone experience in which you complete an internship (field experience), community service project or honors thesis project. (Students who complete the honors thesis project can graduate with department honors).

There are also study abroad programs and course-credit opportunities every summer in locations throughout the world. Every year, two students are selected to attend the Health Policy conference where they will be introduced to public health officials and legislators who describe the governmental process, health policy issues and public health challenges for the future.

A student organization allows students to participate in health-related activities on campus and meet other students in the public health major.
