The Office of Student Research has developed a number of programs to support faculty and students involved with research and creative activities. These programs are briefly explained below:
Peer Research Consultant: Peer Research Consultants support faculty by leading discussion groups and assist students with research projects and creative activities).
Peer Lab: Similar to supplemental instruction sessions, Peer Labs assist students with understanding difficult course material. Sessions are run by a Peer Lab Facilitator, a student who has mastered the course content.
Summer Research Program: This is a 10-week program that provides funding and resources to support undergraduates who are interested in research projects or scholarly activities related to their field.
S-STEM: The California State University, San Bernardino’s S-STEM Scholarship Program is funded by the National Science Foundation for five years, to support transfer students majoring in STEM disciplines.
Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellowship Program: The Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellowship (Melon) is a 2-year program at CSUSB that provides financial support, research mentorship, and assistance with graduate school applications.
STEM en familia: STEM en familia provides potential Riverside City College Promise Program transfer students who have declared STEM majors, support to increase retention within the STEM discipline while at RCC and subsequently increase transfer rates to CSUSB.
