Digital Media and Society
Students consider key issues around digital media use, such as identity construction, democratic participation, online privacy, industry disruptions, community formation, and digital distractions.
Global Communication
Political, economic, and cultural analysis of the structure, context, and impact of communication across national boundaries, including news, entertainment, advertising, corporate communication, transborder data flows, and the Internet.
Communication Law and Policy
An overview of the laws, rules, and policies that govern various media sectors, with a particular emphasis on how these regulations shape the practice of media professionals.
