About International Business at CSUSB

As a student pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Administration with a concentration in International Business, you’ll gain practical knowledge and problem-solving skills that prepare you for leadership in today’s global marketplace. 

Along with a strong foundation in management, marketing, and organizational leadership, you’ll explore international business through courses in culture, global issues, and international marketing, while also developing proficiency in a foreign language.

Graduates with a B.A. in Administration, International Business concentration, pursue careers such as global business analyst, international marketing manager, trade specialist, or supply chain coordinator.

Sample Courses

Entrepreneurship and Innovation

Students will explore the sources of new ideas, how innovations move from concept to market, and the elements of the entrepreneurial mindset.

International Marketing

This course focuses on the development of international marketing strategies and programs, including the determination of objectives and methods of organization. Students will examine how research, advertising, pricing, distribution, financing, and human resource management contribute to effective global marketing. Emphasis is placed on designing strategies that adapt to diverse physical, economic, political, social, and cultural environments and specific marketing situations.

Strategic Issues in International Business

This course provides an examination of the strategic issues involved in conducting business across national boundaries. The course emphasizes the development and implementation of strategic and tactical decisions for companies and brands, drawing on research, analysis, and marketing skills to create actionable plans that address critical challenges faced by global organizations.

Two-time alumnus and professor Mike Stull is the director of CSUSB's Randall W. Lewis School of Entrepreneurship, the first of its kind in California. In 2022, Mike was awarded the Golden Apple Teaching Award, CSUSB's highest teaching honor.
