From activating your myCoyote student account to meeting future classmates, we’ll walk you through what to do after you’ve been admitted so you’re ready to start strong on day one.

- Accept Your Admission Offer & Activate myCoyote
Once you’ve been admitted, the first step is to accept your offer of admission and activate your myCoyote account—this is your student portal, and you’ll use it for everything from checking your financial aid to registering for classes and accessing your student email.
- Apply for Financial Aid
The sooner you apply, the more opportunities you’ll have for grants, scholarships and other financial aid. Be sure to complete the FAFSA or California Dream Act Application by the priority deadline to be considered for the most funding.
- Join Nearpeer
Nearpeer is a private online community where newly admitted students can connect based on shared interests, majors, and backgrounds. It’s an especially great way to meet future classmates—before you even step onto campus.
- Check Your To-Do List
Your Student Center in myCoyote will show important items you need to complete, like submitting documents or clearing holds. Staying on top of this list keeps your admission and enrollment on track.- Attend Orientation
Orientation is where you’ll meet your fellow Coyotes, get familiar with campus, and get ready for a strong start. This is a required step, and one of the most exciting parts of becoming a CSUSB student. - Submit Your Documents
You’ll need to submit transcripts, test scores (if required), and any other documents listed in your To-Do List (located in your myCoyote account). The faster you submit, the sooner you can move forward with advising, class registration and more.
