Meet Your MA in Education Program Coordinator

Dr. Halil I. Tasova is an Assistant Professor of Mathematics Education in the Department of Teacher Education and Foundations at California State University, San Bernardino. He serves as the co-coordinator of the MA in Education program and is committed to supporting students throughout their graduate journey.

Dr. Tasova holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics Education from the University of Georgia and both an M.S. and B.S. in Secondary Mathematics Education from Marmara University in Türkiye. Before entering higher education, he worked as a high school mathematics teacher, bringing firsthand classroom experience to his teaching and advising.

Passionate about helping future educators grow as reflective and equity-minded practitioners, Dr. Tasova enjoys working closely with graduate students to support their academic and professional goals.
