How to Register and Pay

Orientation Registration

Your student will receive an email to their CSUSB Coyote email account when registration is open. Parent and Family Orientation is offered on the same day as your students Orientation date view exact dates here.

Keep in Mind 

Please make sure your student has registered for their orientation before you register and pay for Parent and Family Orientation.  

1. The Parent and Family Orientation fee is $40 per registered parent or family member. 
   1. Do not pay for your student’s orientation fee here. Your student’s orientation fee will be charged to their student fees for their first term.
2. Space is very limited for each family orientation date; due to limited space availability we only allow two (2) parent or family members per student to attend Parent and Family Orientation.
   1. The earlier your student registers for their Orientation session, the sooner you can register for your Parent and Family Orientation.
3. The student and family orientation session will occur on the same day, but you will not be with your student during the day. The programs are run separately for the duration of each.

Next Step: Once your student has registered, you’ll complete your own registration through the Coyote Family Portal, the official platform for Parent and Family Orientation and staying connected throughout your student’s CSUSB journey.

How to Register 

Before beginning your registration, please have the following information from your student ready:

1. Student’s Coyote ID number
2. Student’s CSUSB email address

Step 1: Create or Log In to the Coyote Family Portal

All Parent and Family Orientation registrations are managed through the Coyote Family Portal, your official hub for staying informed, connected, and engaged throughout your student’s journey at Cal State San Bernardino. Through the portal, you’ll also receive university updates, event information, and helpful resources designed specifically for CSUSB families.

1. If you are new and need to create an account: Click here to create your Coyote Family Portal account.

2. If you already have an account: Log in to your Coyote Family Portal to continue your registration.

Step 2: Register for Parent and Family Orientation

Once you have created an account or have logged in to the portal, follow the instructions to register and pay for your Parent and Family Orientation session.

After your payment is processed, please save a copy (printed or electronic) and bring it with you to check-in. Parent and Family Orientation check-in will take place in the Santos Manuel Student Union South Lobby.

Cancellation policy

A written cancellation and refund must be submitted via email to orientation@csusb.edu at least one week before your Parent and Family Orientation date.

1. Refund requests should include the following information:
   • Participant’s First and Last Name
   • Parent and Family Orientation date
   • Reason for requesting a refund
   • Name of payee being reimbursed
   • Student’s First and Last Name
   • Student’s Coyote ID Number
