Power to the San Bernardino campus has been restored as of 9:55 a.m. Normal campus operations will resume Friday, July 26th. Essential staff with questions on whether to report should contact their appropriate administrator. Facilities Management will be working to check all building systems including HVAC, elevators and fire alarms. If power has not been restored in your work area when you return, please report that to Facilities Planning and Management at (909) 537-5175. The Palm Desert Campus remains open and operational.

Maps & Directions to Palm Desert Campus

Students and parents & families who are registered to attend an Orientation session will receive a complimentary parking permit provided by Orientation and First Year Experience. This will be your valid parking permit ONLY during your attendance at orientation.

  • Parking permits are only valid for the parking lot assigned during the Orientation program. 
  • Parking permits must be printed and clearly displayed in the front dashboard of the vehicle.
  • Parking permits will be e-mailed to attending students to their CSUSB email account three (3) days prior to their Orientation. 
  • Vehicles must be parked forward-facing in diagonal parking spaces on campus. Vehicles parked backwards in diagonal spaces may be issued a citation.
  • It is the student's responsibility to have their parking permit and have it clearly displayed in their vehicles. Failure to park in the designated parking lot and/or properly displaying the permit will result in a $54 parking citation.

Orientation will not be responsible for any citations.

Direction to Palm Desert Campus from Indio 

  • Take the I-10 Freeway west toward Los Angeles
  • Take the Cook Street exit
  • Turn left onto Cook Street
  • Go south on Cook Street past Gerald Ford Avenue
  • Turn left onto Berger Drive West

Directions to Palm Desert Campus from San Bernardino

  • Take the I-10 Freeway east toward Indio
  • Take the Cook Street exit
  • Turn right onto Cook Street
  • Go south on Cook Street past Gerald Ford Avenue
  • Turn left onto Berger Drive West
