About Psychology at CSUSB

Are you curious about why people think, feel and behave the way they do? The Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Cal State San Bernardino gives you the tools to explore the human experience — and prepares you for a wide range of careers where understanding people is essential.
Whether you want to help others, improve workplace dynamics, or dive into the science of the brain, this program is designed to help you focus your interests and define your path.
The B.A. in psychology program at CSUSB gives you the chance to specialize by choosing to focus your coursework in one of three concentrations: General Psychology (meaning there’s no formal concentration; you’re able to create an individualized plan that can include sub-areas within psychology such as clinical/counseling psychology, social psychology, developmental psychology or other areas), Biological Psychology or Industrial and Organizational Psychology.
In order to be accepted into the B.A. program, you’ll need to complete certain required courses as a “pre-psychology major.” (You can also choose one of the concentrations as a pre-psychology major.) Once you’ve earned your degree, you’ll be prepared for a wide range of careers, or you might decide to pursue a graduate degree in psychology or another field.
