At Cal State San Bernardino, the master of arts in career and technical education (CTE) provides advanced, specialized training for educators who want to teach and lead in career, technical and adult education settings.

This program prepares you to teach diverse subjects, develop innovative curricula, and take on leadership roles across a variety of educational environments — from secondary schools and community colleges to workforce development programs and industry-based training centers.

Graduates of the M.A. in career and technical education program are equipped to pursue careers such as:

  • Career and Technical Education Instructor – Teach specialized subjects in high schools, community colleges or vocational institutions.
  • Curriculum Developer – Design and implement educational programs that align with workforce needs and industry standards.
  • Education Administrator – Lead CTE programs, manage budgets and ensure compliance with educational regulations.
  • Workforce Development Specialist – Partner with businesses and organizations to create training programs that meet current labor market demands.
