Dr. Judy White – A Life Devoted to Education

After 42 years of service in public education, Dr. JUDY WHITE, who represents the best of CSUSB College of Education alumni, recently announced her retirement. Over many years in public education, Dr. White served in multiple roles including school counselor, school site administrator, and district superintendent in many Inland Empire school districts. Dr. White’s public education career finishes as Superintendent of Schools for Riverside County in Southern California. Dr. White leaves public education leadership having made lasting impacts on K-12 and higher education in the Inland Empire. Dr. White led many initiatives and programs to improve academic achievement, college attainment, and workforce development for students in the Inland Empire.

As Superintendent of Schools for Riverside County, Dr. White leveraged resources to initiate the Diversifying the Teacher Pipeline Program (DTP), which currently works closely with our College of Education Project Impact program to recruit, prepare, and employ minority teachers in Inland Empire K-12 schools. Dr. White believes the Diversifying the Teacher Pipeline Program will continue to significantly ignite students’ passions for learning.

In retirement, Dr. White will focus on her non-profit organization, MOSAIC (Multicultural, Optimistic, Support, Aspiring, Inspiring, Called) which addresses equity and justice issues.

Please join us in congratulating Dr. White on her retirement and tireless work improving educational opportunities for students and educators throughout the Inland Empire.
