As program admissions advisors for the Master of Arts in TESOL program, we'd like to provide you with an overview of what we cover in an information session. We aim to ensure you have all the information you need to make an informed decision about pursuing your Master of Arts in TESOL.

Advising Drop-In Hours

Spring Virtual Drop-in Hours (1/20/26-5/15/26):
Monday:       10am-11am, 1pm-3pm
Wednesday: 11am-12pm, 3pm-5pm
Thursday:     3pm-5pm


PDC Campus In-Person Drop-In Hours (1/20/26-4/30/26):

 What you can expect to learn during the information session

Information sessions are a great way to learn about the degree and credential programs at the Watson College of Education. During our virtual meeting, I will discuss the following topics in detail:

Introduction to the Program

We'll introduce the TESOL program, its objectives, and its benefits..

Program Structure

You'll learn about the program's curriculum, including the courses, fieldwork, and student teaching requirements. We'll also provide an overview of the program duration and scheduling options.  I’ll explain the importance of field experience and student teaching, as these are essential for teacher preparation. You'll learn about the process of securing a student teaching placement and the support provided during this phase.

Application Process

We'll guide you through the application process, including deadlines, required documents, and how to submit your application.

Eligibility Requirements

We'll discuss the prerequisites and eligibility criteria for the program.

Financial Aid and Scholarships

We'll provide information about available financial aid, scholarships, and other funding opportunities to support your journey in the program.

Q&A Session

We'll open the floor for questions, allowing you to seek clarification on any aspects of the program, admissions process, or related topics.

Next Steps

At the end of the information session, I'll guide you on the next steps you should take to start your journey toward earning MA in TESOL.
