Psychology students

If you’re passionate about understanding people, cultures, and societies—and want to share that knowledge with others—the Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences at CSUSB is designed for you.

This degree prepares you to teach social science subjects such as history, geography, political science, psychology, sociology, and economics to students in middle and high school. Sample Courses

The 20th Century World

Major events and significant individuals of the 20th century are explored and analyzed.

Understanding Capitalism

Study of the political, cultural, and ideological structures that arise alongside capitalism. Consideration of differences between capitalism in different countries.

Perspectives on Gender

This interdisciplinary course uses scientific, humanistic, and social science perspectives to foster an understanding of how gender functions in individual lives, societies, and cultures.
