About Philosophy, Policy, and Economics (Minor Only) at CSUSB

The Philosophy, Policy, and Economics (PPE) minor at Cal State San Bernardino provides an interdisciplinary foundation that combines analytical tools from philosophy, economic reasoning, and public policy analysis.

This unique program equips students with the critical thinking, quantitative insight, and ethical perspective needed to understand complex societal issues and contribute to thoughtful decision-making in public, private, and nonprofit sectors.

By engaging with foundational ideas in ethics and logic, economic theory and practice, and the design and evaluation of public policies, students develop a versatile toolkit for approaching real-world problems that lie at the intersection of moral values, economic incentives, and governance systems.
