About Management at CSUSB

The Bachelor of Arts in Administration with a concentration in Management equips students with essential skills in leadership, organizational strategy, marketing, and more. 

Designed to prepare graduates for careers in business, government, and nonprofit sectors, the program emphasizes practical knowledge and problem-solving to help students effectively manage complex systems and lead diverse teams. 

Through this program, students gain the tools to make a positive impact in their chosen fields, foster innovation, and achieve both personal and professional growth.

Careers in Management

Managers

Graduates with a concentration in Management often pursue careers as project managers, operations managers, management consultants, or team supervisors across a variety of industries. 

The field offers versatile career paths with strong job prospects, and the leadership and problem-solving skills gained through this program can open doors to higher-level executive and strategic roles over time.

Sample Courses

Entrepreneurship and Innovation

Students will explore the sources of new ideas, how innovations move from concept to market, and the elements of the entrepreneurial mindset.

Organizational Behavior

This course is designed to cover the theory, research, and practice of organizational behavior. Students will be exposed to concepts associated with individual, group, and organizational levels of analysis in the context of dynamic and diverse work environments and organization types.

Leadership and Followership

Classical and contemporary theories, approaches, and applications of leadership for leading individuals and groups effectively and for developing ethical awareness to respond appropriately to ethical dilemmas.

Students in the Bachelor of Arts in Administration with a concentration in Management program have access to a variety of opportunities that enhance their academic journey. These include hands-on learning experiences, career fairs that connect them with potential employers, and awards and scholarships offered through the Jack H. Brown College of Business and Public Administration. In addition, students can participate in research projects and collaborate closely with faculty, gaining valuable mentorship and professional insight.
