From Teaching Artists to Social Practice: A History

This course examines a historical arc of how educators, artists, and activists have utilized the arts to actively engage communities and impact social issues.

Art History Foundations 1

Exploration of terms and meanings of art historical periodization is conducted in different cultural contexts. Broad range of fine arts and design examples explored.

Intercultural Communication

Description and analysis of cultural and gender factors in communication such as perception, value systems, language codes, and nonverbal communication. Overcoming the communication problems that can result when members of different cultures communicate.
