At Cal State San Bernardino, our Master of Science in Human Resource Management (HRM) program gives you more than a degree—it gives you an edge. Whether you're planning your graduate path now or advising a future HR leader, this program offers a dynamic blend of in-person and online classes, designed to prepare students for high-impact careers in business, management, and people operations.

In this program, you’ll:

  • Learn to lead in areas like strategic HR, employee relations, workforce planning, and employment law
     
  • Build hands-on experience through experiential learning and real-world simulations
     
  • Study topics employers care about—compensation, training and development, and more

The final, culminating experience prepares you to sit for the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) certification exam.

Sample Courses

Management, Organization and Planning

Ecological perspectives related to management and planning of health programs, including strategies to facilitate communication, decision-making, and problem solving and planning and administrative approaches in developing, modifying and sustaining modern health systems.

Health Economics and Financial Systems

Micro- and macroeconomic aspects of health services, various payment approaches, third-party reimbursement systems, budgeting and financial analysis, decision-making and planning in health services and organizations.

Health Law and Medical Ethics

Ethical administrative behavior, standard of care, tort law and professional liability, negligence and liability law, contracts, lawsuits and civil liability process, corporate law and liability, antitrust, case law and related health law issues are covered.
