Submit Your Documents

Submitting Documents

To complete your admission to Cal State San Bernardino, you'll need to submit required documents — such as transcripts and test scores — based on your specific situation.

To see exactly what’s required of you and when, log in to your myCoyote student portal and check your To Do List under the My Tasks section. This personalized checklist is your go-to guide for staying on track. Be sure to check it regularly, as items may be added or updated.

When will I get access to myCoyote?

Once your application is processed (which may take up to two weeks), you’ll receive an email with your Coyote ID and instructions to activate your account. A tutorial is available to help you navigate your myCoyote portal.

Submitting Official Transcripts

You're required to submit official transcripts from all colleges or schools still listed on your myCoyote To Do List. These must:

  • Be sent directly from each institution you've attended.
  • Include all completed coursework and grades.
  • Be received by CSUSB by the deadline listed in your To Do List.

Important: Documents emailed directly to CSUSB are not considered official. Transcripts must come from the issuing institution or an approved third-party provider.

Electronic Transcripts

We recommend requesting electronic transcripts at least 10 business days before the deadline. Processing times vary by institution. Accepted providers include (but are not limited to):

  • Parchment
  • Naviance
  • Xap
  • National Student Clearinghouse

If needed, use submitdocs@csusb.edu as the recipient address.

Mailed Transcripts

Printed transcripts must arrive sealed in their original envelope.

Send or hand-deliver physical transcripts to:

CSUSB – Office of Admissions & Student Recruitment
5500 University Parkway
San Bernardino, CA 92407
In-person delivery: University Hall, Room 107 (San Bernardino) or the Mary Stuart Rogers Gateway Building (Palm Desert).

Submitting Test Scores

ACT/SAT Scores

The CSU no longer uses ACT or SAT scores to determine admission eligibility. However, if you’ve taken these exams, submitting scores may help with course placement in English or math.

To send your scores:

  • Visit your College Board or MyACT account
  • Use CSUSB’s school code: 4099
  • Allow 7–14 days for delivery

External Exam Credit (AP, CLEP, IB) H3

You can earn credit for exams like AP, IB, and CLEP if your scores meet CSU criteria.

  • AP/CLEP/SAT Subject Test scores: Send via your College Board account
  • IB scores: Send via your International Baccalaureate account

CSUSB’s recipient code: 4099

Submit these scores early—if they’re needed to meet admission requirements, they must be on file before a final decision is made.

Military Credit

If you served in the U.S. military, you may be eligible for college credit.

Submit your DD-214 (Separation Documents) through Cal State Apply or separately by mail or email.

Also send your Joint Services Transcript (JST) to the Office of Admissions for credit evaluation.

For help, connect with a Veterans Liaison.

Domestic Applicants with International Transcripts

If you completed coursework outside the U.S.:

  • Submit official academic records in the original language
  • Include certified English translations if applicable
  • You may also need to meet the English language proficiency requirement (e.g., TOEFL, Duolingo)

Send documents to:

CSUSB – International Admissions
Center for Global Innovation, 3rd Floor
5500 University Parkway
San Bernardino, CA 92407
