Founded in 1970 by Long Beach civic leaders, ChildNet Youth and Family Services supports the social, emotional, and educational development of vulnerable youth and families. From one youth home serving 100 boys annually, ChildNet has grown to five locations across five counties, helping more than 13,000 clients each year. Our mission is to provide safe homes, education, and counseling, guided by a philosophy that promotes personal responsibility and strong families. Our diverse team of professionals fosters a culture of care and commitment—making a real difference in the communities we serve.

Its mission is to strengthen the clean energy economy by building local government capacity, developing a skilled energy-efficiency workforce, and supporting long-term energy code compliance in collaboration with building departments and industry partners.

We’re one of California’s largest nonprofits working in school districts from San Diego to San Francisco. The 146th Airlift Wing provides global military airlift support to state and federal agencies using the C-130J Super Hercules. The wing conducts humanitarian relief, disaster response, troop and equipment airdrops, medical missions, weather reconnaissance, aerial spray, and firefighting operations. Members serve one weekend a month and two weeks a year, allowing time for full-time college or civilian careers. With over 150 paid, college-accredited career options—from aviation and engineering to medical, logistics, and administration—the Air National Guard offers competitive part-time benefits including paid tuition, healthcare, retirement, life insurance, VA home loans, job security, transferable security clearances, and potential $15,000 sign-on bonuses.
