Tuesday 04/14 – RESUME, COVER LETTER, & MORE – A resume is a brief, informative document summarizing your abilities, education, and experience. It should highlight your strongest qualities and differentiate you from other candidates. In this workshop you will learn how to:
- Identify and articulate transferable skills
- Customize a cover letter and resume for targeted positions
- Develop a resume with the format that aligns best with your career goals
Tuesday 04/21 – EXPLORE INTERNSHIPS – Hands-on experience in your field of interest is important. This workshop will discuss ways to find internships and other opportunities that align with your career. In this workshop you will learn:
- Techniques to find internships
- About internship awards to fund unpaid internships
Tuesday 04/28 – INTERVIEW STRATEGIES & BIG INTERVIEW – Interview with confidence! In this workshop you will learn how to:
- Practice the interview process using online technology
- Answer tough interview questions
- Demonstrate your knowledge and qualifications for the position you want
Tuesday 05/05 – SOCIAL MEDIA DO’S & DON’TS + NETWORKING – What’s your digital footprint? Employers might be looking to get the dirt on you. In this workshop you will learn how to:
- Develop a clean social media presence
- Leverage the power of social media outlets to find opportunities
- Build your professional brand
Tuesday 05/12 – PROFESSIONAL CONFERENCE & CAREER FAIR PREPARATION – Enhance you understanding of career/fair conference and its purpose. In this workshop you will learn how to:
- Research employers and best prepare to attend one of these events
- Effectively communicate your skills, accomplishments, and goals
- Follow-up with employers and professional in your field

The Marine Corps Officer Selection Team runs a ROTC-ALTERNATIVE program called Platoon Leaders Class (PLC) for first-year students through juniors and Office Candidates Course (OCC) for seniors. Both of these programs allows you to continue your studies while earning your commission as a Marine Officer.
