Piano Society at California State University, San Bernardino (PSC) is an organization that promotes excellence in classical piano performance and music appreciation. It was founded and established in 2011 under Dr. Jocelyn Hua-Chen Chang's, Piano Faculty and Director of Keyboard Studies, guidance and continues to grow to the present day. The goal of the organization is to support and all fellow members and piano students of the CSUSB Keyboard Studies program in becoming a well-rounded pianist in music performance and career planning.

Our activities have included giving numerous recitals and concerts in the Inland Empire, Orange County, and Los Angeles areas. We have invited distinguished and professional musicians to come to CSUSB to conduct piano masterclasses. We have also had various career workshops where we share our lifelong learning resources, musical appreciation and performance experiences as well as effective learning and practicing skills.

Directed by Dr. Chang, PSC presents a themed recital for every school quarter, such as the Chopin & Liszt Recital, the Haydn, Mozart, & Beethoven Recital, the Russian Music Piano Recital, the Valentine's Day Concert, and the Benefit Concert. Additionally, we have performed in Steinway Recital Halls in West Hollywood, Pasadena, and Santa Ana. We will also be giving a concert performance in the Steinway Recital Hall in Palm Desert in June 2014.

In addition to solo piano performance, PSC students greatly enjoy all the learning opportunities. Under the supervision of Dr. Chang, we are also very dedicated and passionate about performing with other instrumentalists and vocalists to explore the areas of piano collaboration and chamber music. We are constantly looking for the performance opportunities and reaching out to the great musicians who are interested in the Keyboard Studies program at CSUSB.

PSC is open to any CSUSB students with his/her talent in classical piano. Please visit us at PSC Facebook Page. We warmly invite and welcome you to join us!
